I have been going to Chens for years. The prices have gone way up since I began using them, but I understand the price of everything is up these days. However today I booked a couples massage on the website, and recieved confirmation email. Good to go.
I lovvvvve Chen’s! I used to go to the midtown location but since I moved, the Kerry Forrest location is 5 mins up the road!!! I absolutely love them! You just have to be clear on what you want and they will do it!!!
Michelle at the Kerry Forest location is absolutely amazing. She has been giving me excellent massages about twice a month for over a year. I work out almost every day and she does wonders for my arms, back and legs. She is very talented.
Chen’s massage is amazing! The massage therapists use a combination of pressure points and muscle massage to provide a wholistic, soothing massage. They honor the exact time of the appointment (an hour massage is 60 minutes of massage). In other words, they don’t deduct time for disrobing or asking questions.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
