I came to Chen’s with a sore back from a particularly challenging workout. I had tried everything: stretching, hot baths, Tylenol, etc., yet I still could not get relief. My usual place was booked for the day, so I decided to check out Chen’s since they have good reviews and better pricing.
I just had an incredible experience at Chen’s Massage in Tallahassee, and I can’t recommend it enough. Annie was my massage therapist, and she gave me a 90-minute Thai massage that was absolutely transformative.
Chens is my go to place for deep tissue therapeutic massages. I’ve been to Yuki, Kelly and Annie and I can’t recommend them enough. They focus on my problem areas and I leave relaxed and rejuvenated. The rooms are clean and they’re very professional. They’re very attentive.
Chens is amazing. Come here all the time when I am in pain, and leave feeling like a new person. They do very deep tissue, and love that they incorporate stretching and hot stones as well. Always on time, always professional, and well worth the price!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
