From the reviews

Dr. Cap and his entire staff are truly amazing! He delivered my first baby, and now that I’m pregnant again, I couldn’t imagine trusting anyone else. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and makes you feel completely safe and supported throughout the entire process.

Best prenatal and mommy and me yoga in Encinitas! I absolutely love Ashley and Willow. Ive gone to their classes throughout both my pregnancies and with my brand new babes for mommy and me yoga. I always leave feeling great with a warm heart and smile no matter how tired i am!

My wife and I were scared first time parents and Cap Welness Center gave us the resources and confidence to safely bring our child into the world and gave us the tools to care for him and provide the love he needs to be a happy healthy baby.

★★★★★ — Dan, Jul 2016

What an incredible space! Dr. Cap is the best in San Diego, and now has a wellness center with yoga to boot! Prenatal yoga classes are offered 6 days/week and mommy and baby classes are twice a week. I love the instructors, the manager and the environment.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
