Skeptically I decided to try acupuncture as a last resort after suffering from rectal pain for 3 years. My pcp sent me to both a GI doctor and colorectal surgeon . After multiple exams and tests they decided it was pelvic floor dysfunction.
Dr. Cuiling Zhang is very professional in acupuncture based on her specialized knowledge in human’s structure. My son was going to graduate from his university and just had some problems on his knee. When I had Our first phone call with Dr. Zhang, I just realized that she is the person we can rely on.
The doctor gave me a Chinese medicine patch for my partial ACL, MCL tear and bone fracture. Within a couple of days I could easily bend my knee over 90 degrees, that I couldn’t do before without having a lot of pain (3 weeks after my injury from a skiing accident ).
We have been having a great experience coming here for treatments. Dr. Z does a very thorough and thoughtful assessment and treatment. She takes her time each session. She asks questions to try to understand what problems you are experiencing and with each visit we see improvement that is noticeable and lasting.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
