From the reviews
Louise is an artist painting a masterpiece on the canvas of each of her patient's bodies. She imbues each treatment with love and healing--you leave with a tingle of chi flowing through your body, radiating better health.
Louise is a G-D send. I went to her office with a tremendous amount of lower back pain and a stiff neck and left her office less then an hour later with almost all the pain gone. Louise told me it can take up to 3 days to get the full affect, but I felt an immediate difference. Her touch is incredible (VERY GENTLE).
I had a dreadful experience with acupuncture many years ago. Pain and discomfort are the only memories I have of that treatment. I was so traumatized, that I thought I'd never get "needled" again. Louise Bowman changed all that. She has the most incredible touch with acupuncture.
Louise is incredibly gentle, knowlegeable, accessible and responsive. I highly recommend her for nutrition consultation, life changes, and acupuncture treatment. She's also a very talented knitter!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
