I had the most incredible experience with Ulisa Rodriguez at The Body Works Wellness Studios on Krystal Street in East Stroudsburg. My daughter and I spent two truly transformative hours in her care, and I can honestly say it was one of the most uplifting and soul-nourishing experiences we've ever had.
I came to Bodyworks Wellness Studio yesterday, Sunday,March 15th. I was in town visiting my Daughter who goes to college at ESU. Ulyssa had me on a waiting list & was nice enough to call me to tell me that she had an opening. She explained when I got there about the 45 minute Sound Healing.
A wonderful & new experience was had here last week for a sound bath meditation & no regrets were had! Shoutout to Ulisa for creating a peaceful environment, the professionalism, genuineness, & skill acquired for such a craft.
1st experience with sound bath meditation From the moment the session began, Ulisa made the space feel safe, welcoming, and sacred, taking time to explain what to expect and inviting clear intentions for the sound bath.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
