From the reviews
I had gift certificate for an hour massage from last year and finally decided to make an appointment and use that gift certificate! Couldn’t schedule through their website (credit card required), call their office and scheduled.
This was my first experience with Bodyworks Professionals. The in processing process was a little slow. They only have one computer to input your information. The building is an old home that has been modified for the business. The rooms are much bigger than many commercial businesses.
Had a second massage by Sarah Masterson today, this time focusing on my TMJ pain. Again, she impressed me with her knowledge and skillset. I left my 1 hour massage able to open my jaw further, had less pain in the jaw and related muscles, and my neck is very relaxed. I cannot recommend her more.
Katelyn has been worth every dollar! I also saw Lucia a few times who was equally wonderful. The professionals here truly listen to your body, its needs and will educate you on what’s happening (for me it’s my shoulder) in a certain area!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
