From the reviews
Delaney is the BEST massage therapist I have come across! I have tried many therapists and had a whole range of experiences, and can say with confidence that Delaney is the best!
I had an amazing post-marathon recovery experience at Body Mechanics Orthopedic and could not be happier with the care I received! My first massage was the day after the marathon with Carlos, who was incredibly skilled and intuitive.
I have been suffering shoulder and back pain for over a week and a half post-working out. I had been recommended to go to Body Mechanics and on a whim I walked in and was lucky to be able to book a last minute appointment same-day with Coco. Truly a great experience.
Working with Chasi has been an absolute blessing during my post-surgery recovery. Her lymphatic drainage massages were not only incredibly soothing but also played a huge role in reducing swelling and improving my mobility much faster than I expected.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
