I’ve been a patient of Ella for a number of years at Columbus Circle and I’ve resumed my visits with her at the new Herald Square location since my move to mid-town. This establishment is the real deal with one-stop-shop treatment of acupuncture, cupping, massage, physical therapy and accepts most major insurance.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Ella since she was at ACA Columbus Circle location. She has helped me manage chronic back pain, balancing hormones for fertility treatments, and hives through acupuncture and cupping. Highly recommend this new office, it’s very calming, clean and conveniently located.
The experience was wonderful. The practitioner was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to understand my needs before starting the treatment. During the session, I felt a deep sense of relaxation, and the needles were inserted with such precision that I hardly felt any discomfort.

What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
