From the reviews
When I first booked an acupuncture session, I didn’t know what to expect. Many friends have told me how great this age old alternative form of medicine is, and I knew I needed to take some time for personal care as my back was in a lot of pain and I was super stressed out. Dr.
I loved my visit. David is truly amazing. He was very patient in listening to all of my concerns. He explained everything he was doing and why. I was comfortable the entire time. The atmosphere is very calming. The acupuncture and cupping itself helped me a lot in just my first visit.
I came in here due to neck and lower back pain as well as migraines. Dr. Kim took time to assess and gently placed needles at the effective points and did not overcompensate by using too many needles like many acupuncturists that I've been to in the past.
I’ve been doing physical therapy at Enjoy Wellness for several months for chronic back and foot pain. There is a whole team that works on you for a single price or single co-pay if you have insurance. Every 1 hour visit includes physical therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic, and acupuncture.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
