From the reviews

The short version: I have had Thai massage in Thailand. Samantha is amazing and exceed my expectation in every way. I highly recommend her. The long version: I moved to Ann Arbor for 17 years ago from Thailand.

I absolutely love Bodhi Work! I recently received a 90 minute Table Thai Fusion with Pim and it was an amazing experience. She is so strong and has great technique. I’ve also had great massage sessions with Raya and Kate! Also, Samantha, the owner, is a top notch bodyworker and is very responsive to client inquiries.

★★★★★ — Heidi, Sep 2025

I tried several times over a few years to find someone I felt comfortable with and trusted to get the deep tissue and body work I need. I’m incredibly grateful to have found Kate. Kate’s not just skilled in the unique integrative massage she provides, she has a talent.

★★★★★ — Dan, Oct 2025

I booked this place a couple times, but with Kate was the best! I got a relaxation 90 mins massage. My work and life situations really turned my neck and shoulders really tight and with scoliosis, just tight dull pain the whole back, plus TMJ, just tightness and pain everywhere.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
