From the reviews
Brittany is a trustworthy, intuitive, and effective bodyworker and, my preferred practitioner. Diverse in her modalities, Brittany has a wide-range of gifts. I see her regularly for fire cupping and deep tissue massage. Each session is special, as it is tailored to me body’s needs in present-time.
Brittney is the most talented massage therapist I have ever encountered! She intuitively knows how much to work on areas and asks the right questions to meet my needs. Her hands are magical. She uses a variety of pressure, cupping, and other methods to get me to bliss.
The massage therapy at Blooming Bodywork is a relaxing experience starting from checkin, when I was given a small cup of tea. The massage was excellent, focusing on the areas I needed the most work done. She listens closely to not what is only being said, but how the body responds to her work.
I cannot recommend Brittney enough. If I could give her more than five stars, I absolutely would—she deserves 100 out of 5 stars for the exceptional massage work she provides. Honestly, I don't know how else to express just how talented she is, but Brittney's hands are truly magic.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
