From the reviews
I feel so blessed to have been able to work with Jess at Bloom Physical Therapy and Wellness. I was experiencing pelvic floor pain and discomfort during my second pregnancy. Jess helped me understand how to strengthen my pelvic floor and was so helpful with giving me exercises to try at home.
I started seeing Jess when I was 14 months postpartum and experiencing pelvic and tailbone pain after returning to exercise. From the very first session, she was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and supportive.
Dr. Jess is fantastic! I truly have nothing but praise for her. I have struggled to heal my diastasis recti since giving birth to my second child four years ago. An intensive online program and work with a PT through my healthcare clinic left me feeling defeated and as though I still looked 5 months pregnant.
Jess is fantastic and I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking out physical therapy in pregnancy or postpartum! I first sought out care for pelvic floor therapy in early postpartum at a different clinic but didn't feel like I made much progress and stalled out with it.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
