From the reviews
i went in not too long ago for dry needling, the classic acupuncture treatment, and cupping! chris is so knowledgeable and sits down with you to discuss what you need out of the session first. he makes you feel so comfortable, and explains everything so well to someone with little knowledge around these practices!
Having been a client for 2-3 years now, I can confidently say the services and results of routine acupuncture + cupping have been a vital component to my wellness practice. Chris not only creates a comfortable and personal experience but he strives to elevate your well being and experience each and every appointment.
I decided to give acupuncture a try after I injured myself running last fall. I pushed too hard for too long and didn't take enough time to stop and rest. Classic mistake of the zealous...
I truly don’t have the words to explain what Chris’ practice has done for me. I met Chris when my chronic lower back pain got to a point where it was unbearable. I was nervous to try acupuncture and could never calm myself down enough to benefit from the practice.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
