From the reviews
I attended acupuncture school with Trista and received treatments from her throughout her time practicing in the student clinic. Trista has so much knowledge about musculoskeletal pain and injuries from her years of experience as an athlete and gymnastics coach.
I stopped in to Balance Acupuncture/Acuworks while I was experiencing vertigo and severe brain fog that was really interfering with my life. After seeing a neurologist and doing my own research I read acupuncture can help. My first appointment with Trista was super thorough and I learned a ton about acupuncture.
Balance Acupuncture for the win! After a 4+ week illness I was hit with Edema. My ankles, legs, hands were really swollen. My doctor told me it would be 4-6 weeks to subside. I asked if there was anything I could do to speed it up and she suggested acupuncture.
If I could give more stars I would! I have been suffering from hip and back pain for around 24 years and have tried all sorts of different treatments to try and relieve my pain and nothing compares to the amazing results I am feeling and getting with Trista.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
