From the reviews
Gabriela is highly skilled and competent in caring for a wide range of health concerns. Most importantly to me, she is caring and trustworthy. I can truly relax while receiving my personalized healthcare from Gabriela. Through acupuncture, moxibustion, and cupping she reduced my hip pain significantly.
I have been seeing Gabriela for the last year and am so incredibly lucky and happy to have landed at her practice. I grew up exposed to eastern medicine and was worried as an adult I wouldn’t be able to replicate the experience on my own, but luckily I found Gabriela!
I had no idea it was possible to feel SO safe and comforted while experiencing acupuncture. Gabriela is incredibly professional and knowledgeable, all while lighting candles that make the room smell delightful and choosing music that creates a truly sacred space.
Very personalized experience, and I've felt comfortable since day 1. Gabriela is incredibly knowledgeable and has been able to help me with lowering stress and muscle tension, especially in those shoulders and back! Besides traditional acupuncture, she's also been able to help me using electro, cupping, and gua sha.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
