From the reviews

I have been seeing Carmela for at least five years. That was when she helped me reclaim my health and my life! I was on a fast track to disability (my doctor said he never say anyone go downhill so quickly) - the fatigue and pain was endless.

SAAT worked for my alpha gal allergy I did my homework first, and knew I wanted someone certified to perform SAAT. I have asthma and a cardiac arrhythmia, both require medications. Because of my alpha gal allergy, most of my medications had to be compounded without animal products.

★★★★★ — Janet, Jul 2025

Over the years, I have seen a number of practitioners that use acupuncture and herbs to balance and heal the body, and all were technically proficient in providing treatments. But, I would not describe any of them as healers. Carmela Mager is a healer.

★★★★★ — Audrey, Apr 2016

After years of struggling with gut issues and many symptoms the western doctors didn't believe or had no idea how to treat, I finally found Carmela. She treated me for Alpha gal to begin with and my symptoms started getting better. I tested negative for alpha gal but I still felt weak and had gut issues.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
