Why Written on the Body Massage is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “pain, repetitive stress injuries & compensatory patterns. Hot stones melt away the first layers of tension, before deep tissue techniques break up adhesions and unbind rigid muscles. When appropriate, she also utilizes cupping to increase…” source →

What clients say about the cupping here
“They don’t just glide over sore spots—they understand how the body is connected and know how to access deeper, harder-to-release tension safely and effectively.”
“It is apparent she has a thorough knowledge of how the different parts of your systems interact with one another and how to relieve tension deep down inside.”
“You can tell the therapists are truly listening—to your body, your feedback, and what’s happening in the moment—rather than following a preset routine.”
“Kind, Gentle and Intuitive, is what resonated in my body about the skillful use of cranial sacral techniques used in my session with Adrienne.”
“The space itself is calm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to relax the moment you arrive.”
From the reviews
…She’s extremely talented, uses cupping and hot stones, and all around is just a lovely human!
…The kind where you definitely can’t relax or fall asleep and the cupping marks that are impressively dark purple. Working with Katie, she not only had a technique I’ve never experienced that I almost fell asleep three separate times but I came out so relaxed, like my muscles melted yet got lubricated, loosened up, and…
…The cupping, hot stones, and Ashiatsu therapy techniques she utilized were all extremely helpful and targeted my problem areas. What sets Katie apart is her intuitive ability to really listen to the body and ease even the deepest knots and tightness.
…The cupping and its ability to remove stagnant energy was my favorite part. Katie was very thoughtful of creating a whole experience and making sure the results lasted beyond the session. I could have laid there forever! I promise I didn't drool too much.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
