I can’t say enough amazing things about Winter Park Chiropractic and Dr. Filardo. A couple of weeks ago, we flew in from Las Vegas to Florida for my daughter’s dance competition. Unfortunately, she had injured her knee the weekend before we arrived.
I just recently started coming here for treatment and truthfully I was very hesitant at first, I started looking for offices but I came across this office and they stood out. From the initial greeting to the actual consult with the doctor, I was very pleasantly surprised.
I’ve gotten my DOT renewal here for three years and I can’t recommend this place enough, everyone is so pleasant from the receptionists to Dr.Filardo treating me with kindness and respect. The process was quick, I was in and out.
Amazing service, it was my first time and they treated me with a welcoming energy. Dr.Filardo is great, He went over everything in detail and any questions i had, He answered. I world recommend this place 100%.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
