From the reviews
I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. This is a very cozy, small locally owned place and I immediately felt right at home. My massage was with Sharon and she was wonderful. I chose a 90 minute custom massage and she took the time to go through and see what needed to be worked on and what I preferred.
I have been going to Willow Tree Massage Therapy since the day they opened their doors. Typically, I see Sara but have also seen Sharon on a couple of visits. They are hands-down by far the best massage therapist I have been to. They are highly trained and educated in massage therapy.
Amazing staff and experience. Sharon is great for a relaxing and soothing massage, Christine is amazing for blending relaxation and therapy, and Anna has the ability to completely break down any knots and give excellent recommendations on root causes for back pain and how to mitigate them.
I have really enjoyed my sessions with both Josh and Sharon. I never have waited for my appointment and they have both done such a fabulous job. I have opted for the 90 minute hot stone massage both times I have been here and have been so happy with the results.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
