The staff was super helpful and accommodating. We were there for massages, because my husband has been having some strange back issues. They listened closely and tailored the massage around his very specific needs. My massage involved a little more footwork than his did (we were in the same room), and it was great!
Very nice and relaxing place. Probably one the best relaxation spas/massage places I’ve gone to. You walk in and the lights are already dimmed and it’s very quiet and you can hear birds and a waterfall so you already begin to relax before the massage. My massage therapist Kirsten is probably one of the best I’ve had.
I am a nurse and have been in desperate need of a good massage for a long time. I felt instantly more peaceful when I walked into the beautiful studio, which was very soothing, quiet, and beautiful. Al is so lovely and kind, and really put me at ease.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
