What clients say about the cupping here
“Since beginning massage and acupuncture treatments at Yijuan Better Health Clinic, I have been able to decrease the amount of pain medication I take for my chronic back pain.”
From the reviews
Since beginning massage and acupuncture treatments at Yijuan Better Health Clinic, I have been able to decrease the amount of pain medication I take for my chronic back pain. I also have better feelings of health and improved mobility.
This place was recommended to me by a friend and for the last six months I have been coming here every other week. Cindy is the owner and the only person who is helping you heal. The continuity of care is really the key to getting 'you' better.
The expertise and service of this place is second to none. Easy to overlook from the road, but a true hidden gem. Cindy is a masterful practitioner of acupuncture and massage. Been seeing her for several years and have fixed flexibility and pain in many areas of my body.
Cindy is the best. Caring, compassionate, kind and always goes above and beyond. I look forward to our appointments!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
