From the reviews
Acupuncture and Cupping with Guljan at Wholeness Acupuncture has been a great addition to my self care and healing routines. I can’t say enough about her high level of professional care! The environment is welcoming, her presence is calming, and the treatments are helping me so much with spine pain and PCOS.
When you arrive at their space you are immediately greeted by a sense of calm and peace! Guljian, Cyndi and Jacqueline are so amazing to work with. I got an acupuncture treatment and cupping from Guljian. Her intake was so thorough, she asked so many questions and helped me see things I needed to address.
I can not say enough about Guljan and Wholeness Acupuncture Center! I was struggling with many different ailments. One of the biggest was fatigue (mentally and physically). My GP was insistent that it was “just your age and these things are normal”, but I knew they were not!
This place is a total game-changer! Been dealing with this right shoulder issue for almost a year, testing out everything from physical therapy to chiropractors and sports massages, but nothing's matched up to Guljan's treatment. She's seriously incredible, knows her stuff inside out.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
