From the reviews

I’m not fantastic at writing reviews, so I’ll get right to the point. If you have pain and you need therapy for it? Rebecca is your go to person. She is awesome! I had pain in my elbow for what seemed like forever. It got so bad that I couldn’t lift my daughter or even open her sippy cup.

★★★★★ — Nikki, Apr 2019

TLDR: book a consultation appt at WholeBody. They are experts. The details: I have been seeing Rebecca at WholeBody since early 2020 (pre-covid). This does not mean that she is dragging out my treatment.

★★★★★ — Kristi, Sep 2024

Seeing the PTs at WholeBody is hands down the best decision I have made for my health! Rebecca is a true expert in running. She has helped me get back to running pain free which has benefited me physically and has drastically improved my overall quality of life.

★★★★★ — Briana, May 2022

Rebecca has been my physical therapist for over a year now. She's treated numerous issues including back pain, tennis elbow, and even tension headaches. Issues that I have dealt with for years are no longer an issue. WholeBody is the best physical therapy in Troy Illinois by far!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
