From the reviews

New favorite spa. Every employee we came across was so nice. From calling and scheduling, to being checked in to the massage therapist themselves. We had a personal issue arise and the staff were so accommodating when they didn’t even need to be. I was there specifically for a couples massage for my birthday.

I’ve been to most the massage places in town, and White Elm is definitely my favorite. The ambience is cozy and tranquil, and my go-to masseuse (Sydney) is SO GOOD.

★★★★★ — Mary, May 2025

The staff was incredibly professional and friendly, making me feel relaxed right away. My massage was absolutely perfect—just the right amount of pressure, and I left feeling completely rejuvenated. The facilities were spotless, and the aromatherapy added a nice touch to the experience.

★★★★★ — Carlinette, Feb 2025

My wife and I had a couples massage with Josephine and Mindy. It was by far the best experience we have both had since we began using White Elm. We would highly recommend either massage therapist.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
