I went in for my first ever professional massage with Corey, who was incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable. He made the experience as comforting and relaxing as possible. His experience with deep tissue massaging and cupping has helped my back pain immensely.
My first time and its very relaxing, David did an amazing job massaging my back and shoulder. Definitely going back and maybe I'll try the cupping next time.
Update: Erin the manager contacted me and rescheduled me with a different massage therapist, Kelly. This went great! She was amazing! This is my first time here and I really wanted to like it cause I wanted to get a membership. My massage was with Austin. He asked me if there was an area I wanted to focus on.
The staff both over the phone and in person are very friendly and helpful. Also, Sarah did an amazing job with my massage. There was no pressure to purchase additional products or services, but everything was offered and explained to me. I had a great experience, would recommend to anyone, and hope to go again myself!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
