From the reviews

I've been receiving acupuncture for several months now and I cannot believe the results! I was EXTREMELY skeptical about it but after many, many conversations with my husband (also a patient) I decided to give the Thursday nights community clinic a try (6-7p.m., $5 recommended donation, free for Veterans).

fAe gave me a wonderful treatment! I feel like he helped me on all levels of my being. I came to fAe in a very vulnerable state, and he truly made me feel safe and at home. He is such a knowledageble practitioner and explained everything before we got started.

★★★★★ — Surrender, Dec 2018

Acupuncture has helped with so many things, it continues to amaze me as to what conditions fAe is able to improve! After many failed western medicine attempts at fixing my monthly cycles, acupuncture has been the only thing to consistently work without tons of negative side effects. In fact just the opposite!

I had an awesome visit with Megan! She was very thorough in taking my medical history and very knowledgeable. I had an acupuncture treatment and scheduled three more. I definitely recommend giving Wellspring and Megan a try!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
