From the reviews
I have been so pleased with my care at Wellness in Motion Boston - Lynnfield, and specifically from Dr. Madeline Calandra. Maddie has been working with me for just under a month now, doing graston and ART on my hips and quads for running overuse issues leading up to and recovering from a marathon.
I have been to a few sessions with Bethany, once a week, and she has helped my achilles tendonitis so much with her stretch therapy! When I leave her appointments, the next day I feel so rejuvenated and stretched. She has a breadth of knowledge about the muscles, tendons and overall wellness.
Renee is absolutely fantastic. She always talks to me prior to my massage to address any particular issues I may be having. I had been looking for a massage therapist of her caliber for awhile. She is a true professional at her craft. 100% recommended. 👍
Renee at Wellness in Motion is absolutely amazing!! She is attentive and thorough, I'm so happy to have found her. Very highly recommend!!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
