From the reviews
I’ve been seeing Christine Kulhawik at Watershed Wellness in Tumwater for about a year now, and I can’t recommend her enough. I originally went in for neck and back pain after I had to stop taking ibuprofen due to being on Xarelto blood thinners.
I could write pages of my love of Christine and her care of me. As I have grown older I have found there are people in medicine who it is simply a job they do to live a quality life and then there are those who are called to care for others and no matter what would be doctors in their community.
I had a really great experience at Watershed Wellness. I went in for acupuncture for some pretty stubborn tennis elbow, and it’s been helping a lot. She also gave me a ton of helpful advice around nutrition and supplements, which I wasn’t expecting but really appreciated.
Immediate relief from pain associated with extreme muscle spasms. Follow-up to ensure functionality. Thank you enormously.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
