From the reviews

Chris is not only extremely skilled, he really listened to the issues I was struggling with. Many complex health issues shifted in his care. He is gentle, and checks in with his patients throughout the process. He skillfully supported me in our acupuncture sessions and helped me with herbal support.

★★★★★ — Clee, Oct 2023

I have been seeing Chris since early November 2021 for an invisible but disabling illness. His work is nothing less than extraordinary. I have seen a variety of acupuncturist since my early thirties, and Chris is one of the kindest and most effective practitioners I have seen yet.

★★★★★ — Amy, Apr 2022

My massage therapist encouraged me to make an appointment with Chris when I had a persistent issue with my knee that wasn't resolving with massage, exercise or rest. I had my first acupuncture session today and I really enjoyed Chris's "bedside manner.

★★★★★ — Kathryn, Feb 2024

I had my first acupuncture session today with Chris and it was life changing. I felt the most relaxed I think I have ever felt and I still do. The space is warm and welcoming and he is really easy to connect with. Chris is a natural healer and has deep passion for his work that is very evident.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
