From the reviews
As a medical professional, and athlete I have been a patient at Velocity for years and there is no other place I would consider going for my chiropractic and therapy needs! The entire Team is so incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing the best possible patient care.
SUPER solid group of professionals that will partner with you like coaches to get you recovered and back to hitting your goals. I started coming to Velocity about 4 years ago because my chiropractor stopped taking my insurance. I quickly realized that I had found the sports medicine dream team.
I’m a student-athlete playing basketball in college and when I tweaked my lower back while playing it seemed to just get worse and worse even with the initial treatment from our college’s facilities. But then I went to Velocity and they knew immediately what I needed and how to fix my injury.
The entire team at Velocity is nothing short of wonderful. Since my first visit they have been on top of everything and have kept me informed about everything that I can expect with my injury and it’s necessary needs and rehabilitation in the days and months ahead. The facility is state of the art.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
