What clients say about the cupping here
“I appreciate the focus on pain relief in parts of my body that I had no idea I could experience relief from the pressure and tightness I have had for a long time.”
“As someone who has experienced different massage therapists and techniques over the years for back issues, I can honestly say Kim is the absolute best!”
“What I really appreciated was that Kim talked me through everything she was finding as she worked — explaining the adhesions and knots she identified and what she was doing to address them.”
“She also applied exactly the right amount of pressure throughout, and consistently checked in to make sure I was comfortable.”
“You can call me a raving fan - I would recommend Unconditional Wellness & Athletic Therapy to anyone looking to heal tension/pain or just looking to have a relaxing retreat at their home or office.”
“My husband and I enjoyed it so much we started getting them bi-weekly because the outcome has been worth the price every time.”
“Joel was extremely friendly from the first time we spoke on the phone.”
From the reviews
There are not words to describe the positive experience associated with Joel and the business/services offered. The wisdom and experience as well as education and knowledge of the body are apparent during sessions.
I have been working with Joel for 2 years and if truth be told I procrastinated writing this review because I don’t want more people taken up his time. I came to Joel nothing short of broken, my back hurt, my hips were locked up and I was in pain, Through therapy sessions with Joel I am pain free and I happy to report…
Unconditional Wellness is AMAZING!!! Joel helped me quite a bit when I was training for Marathons and Cycle events! He really knows just the right spots to work on to help me be more flexible and fit so that I could continue sports without pain or discomfort. And Kim's hands are like butter too!
I have been a client of Joel for years. I routinely travel to Dallas from out-of-state for care. I would recommend anyone from any state fly in just for his expertise. He has years of massage therapy experience and knows exactly what the issue is even when it is difficult to explain.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
