From the reviews
Danielle's therapeutic massage was great! She has a lighter touch than I'm used to but I loved that she used several different modalities in my session, including TMJ massage, lymphatic drainage and cupping, to get good results and I left feeling great.
I finally had my first visit to fix my body! Between my knee and back pain it’s been a major struggle to be active, Danielle was so kind, patient and has a calming presence. My therapy today included cupping, resetting my muscles and working out sore spots. I walked out feeling more aligned and less pain in one visit.
I'm so grateful that a friend referred me to Flint Therapeutics and I have been able to add them into my healing plan. I have autoimmune issues and have been to many massage therapists in the past that really don't understand how to massage someone with health problems.
Great experience at Flint Therapeutics. From the moment you walk in the door you instantly feel a sense of tranquility. The lobby area is welcoming and provides a variety of products that will intrigue your senses. My therapist was accommodating and asked lots of questions to ensure a relaxing experience.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
