From the reviews
I cant believe it took me so long to realize I had not given Dr. Casey and his staff a well deserved 5+ star review. I came in with multiple cervical and lower lumbar nerve pain, muscle tightness and neuropathy issues. Dr. Casey could barely touch me without my flinching from pain to touch.
Casey is amazing. After only a few visits I had almost no pain and with the few simple exercises that he gave me to do at home, I have continued to be pain free. AND the girls at the front desk are so friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond to help with insurance issues and answer any questions you ask.
Had hip Pain for years. Went to Dr Casey Curtis and he was able to identify right away what was causing it and even was able to help work through the tightness that was giving me issues. I still follow some things in the rehab he gave me that helps anytime it gets unusually sore.
Dr. Curtis and staff are top-notch! I have been dealing with multiple issues lately and Dr. Curtis really took the time to determine the problems and has me on the road to resuming my hobbies. I highly recommend Upward Physical Therapy!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
