What clients say about the cupping here
“Gagliardi's thoroughness in the intake appointment was quite impressive, and it's actually why I committed to a short-term treatment plan.”
“She listens to all your concerns, is able to target the areas that is needed most Heather always is going above and beyond to take care of me .”
“By the end of the hour, everything was calm and settled (which I consider a miracle) and for this reason alone, I would recommend Unwind Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine.”
From the reviews
Heather Gagliardi of Unwind Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine is and excellent choice if you are looking for additional medical choices. I had been dealing with sciatica for two years, having occasional relief. She took time to diagnose my issues and develop the best treatment.
Heather is truly one of the most caring and genuine practitioners I’ve met. She has been such a grounding presence during one of the most stressful periods of my life. What really stood out to me is how she takes the time to understand me as a whole person, not just your symptoms.
I (Ray) went to Unwind Acupuncture for help in a few areas -- primarily for a sprained ankle and help in lowering cholesterol readings without the use of prescription medication. Two very different things!
Highly recommend! Dr Heather at Unwind is incredibly knowledgeable, blending her expertise in both Western and Eastern medicine as an RN and acupuncturist. She has a caring bedside manner and truly listens to her patients, making each visit feel personalized and supportive.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
