From the reviews
I unfortunately missed a step on my stairs and fell on my hip. This caused some serious sciatica down both legs. Dr. Patel performed acupuncture and electrical stem on each hip and lower back. The sciatica became non existent after only one treatment.
Cupping and acupuncture treatments with Dr. Nirali Patel was the BEST spontaneous decision I have ever made!! I work in a research lab where I am constantly doing a lot of the same repetitive work, not realizing the strain this is having on my arms, shoulder and back.
Back in February I injured my knee during training. I powered through the pain and continued training for about a week. It was at the point where the swelling was so bad that walking was unbearable. I finally went to seek medical attention and was told that I need to ice, rest and elevate my knee.
I came across Unique Remedy through ClassPass. I thought I will give it a shot as I had a knee issue that was troubling me during workouts and while driving. I tried Chiropractor, massages and other stretching methods but it never really helped me. As I walked into her office, Dr.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
