I can’t recommend this business enough and now that I’ve used it several times feel it’s appropriate to right this review. I’ve been a fan of massage for a long time, usually getting 6-8 per year. Krissie does an amazing job and I put her at the top of the list.
I've been a regular client since 2020 and I come with a myriad of physical challenges. Krissie is an extraordinary massage therapist and healer whose work reflects both deep intuition and rare technical insight.
First impressions are everything, and Krissie didn’t disappoint. Krissie’s studio is extremely professional and welcoming. When I first met her, we talked about what was ailing me and she listened intently to make sure she understood my concerns. As a gym enthusiast, my strength training has caused some imbalances.
Krissie is fantastic. I first found Tigerfly Massage when I kept having trouble getting in where I had been going and I wanted a change of environment as the place I was going was too noisy. She has always found a way to fit me in.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
