Why Thrive mind.body.massage is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “erapy works on the basis of mutual resonance through the systematic and intentional combination of essential oils and acupoints, resulting in a more significant effect than using either of the treatment methods alone. What clients say about the cupping here
“Instead I was more relaxed and comfortable After about 4 visits now most of the major spasms in my hips, legs and back and neck are greatly improved.”
From the reviews
I was curious if her softer massage would help for my major issues. to my suprise it worked better. While it took an extra visit I did not leave feeling worn out or sore after each visit.
Best massage ever. She talks to you before the massage to find out what needs you have. It is evident this is her calling.
I have a 90 minute manual lymphatic drainage session with Rita. It was a relaxing and refreshing experience where I left feeling lighter and like everything in my body was working better. She is a well-informed and compassionate person who provided a warm, safe environment throughout the session.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
