From the reviews
I have been so lucky to be a part of Thrive HQ from the start! Matt keeps me well “oiled and fine tuned” to make sure I can live my active lifestyle and get through my workouts. We have worked through a back surgery, shoulder issues and a continuing knee injury that someday will require a total replacement.
I had been battling shoulder pain for quite sometime. Through a concentrated program that included dry needling, cupping, massage, and a highly targeted workout plan, I’ve experienced tremendous pain relief and real, measurable progress. More importantly, I’ve been able to get back to the gym and the activities I love.
I can't say enough positive about Thrive HQ and their team! Came into Thrive in early July with two different lower body issues that were severely limiting my running. Dr. Greg Bailen listened to me and my goals, diagnosed the problems, and gave me exercises and tools to resolve them quickly and effectively.
I was having pretty severe hip pain. I went to see traditional orthopedic specialist and recommended an MRI immediately. Instead, I decided to give Dr. Greg and Thrive a try. Within the first visit I felt so well educated on what could potentially be going on and Dr. Greg immediately helped come up with a plan.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
