From the reviews
I had a really great experience with Rachel Martin at Summit Therapeutics. I love that they have therapists who specialize in different types of massage so you’re not just getting a one size fits all session. It feels much more intentional and tailored to what your body actually needs.
I’ve had a few massages at Summit Therapeutics and each one has been great! They are so professional, and offer some really cool add-ons like hot stones, cupping, and red light therapy. Highly recommend!
Rachel is an absolute wonder in manual therapy! She applies consistent pressure according to each client’s needs and maintains an open thread of communication throughout the duration of the massage to ensure their comfort level remains intact. Her treatment room oozes cozy with a calming color palette.
I highly recommend Summit Therapeutics Massage Therapy. As someone who trains hard and consistently pushes my body, sports massage is not a luxury for me, it is a necessity. Recovery is a critical part of performance and longevity, and I have found no better solution than Summit.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
