From the reviews
Had my first fire cupping session with Abby at Sanctuary. The treatment room had a pleasant ethereal charm and the cupping experience was first class. They offer acupuncture also. Affordable and clean, highly recommend!
I had an amazing experience at The Sanctuary! I came in because of nerve issues in my back and arm, and left feeling completely relaxed and better. Abby is the owner and acupuncturist, and is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive.
Abby is a life saver! She has been treating me for over 4 years for radiating pain and numbness due to cervical stenosis and pinched nerves. I received both acupuncture and cupping. She got me through the most severe pain I have ever had… without using medications!! At 1st with visits 2-3times a week.
My experience with Abby Cooper of The Sanctuary is nothing short of amazing. She is welcoming, warm and genuinely focused on my needs. I also tried cupping for the first time at The Sanctuary and was pleasantly surprised, after a couple of cupping sessions I felt the difference.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
