What clients say about the cupping here
“This is the best professional massage I have ever received, and I’m not just saying that just because Julie is the absolute best.”
From the reviews
Julie is both knowledgeable and skilled, but also caring and compassionate in how she works with her clients. I love knowing that whatever I need worked on will be addressed and I will leave her space feeling refreshed and pain free. Thanks for the awesome massage, Julie!!
Ms. Julie with The Sage Touch was so professional and made me feel AMAZING. I had soreness in my middle back from golfing, and after my appointment with The Sage Touch I feel as good as new!!
I haven’t felt this good after a massage in a long time, and I am very consistent with my body care. Julie used an array of modalities to bring me some much needed relief, releasing tight trigger points while also moving lymph in long-affected areas of my body.
Julie always does such a great job at focusing on your problem areas and making sure the pressure is just right for you. She really knows her stuff!! Highly recommend!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
