From the reviews

I cannot recommend Erik Johnson enough! I started seeing him during my infertility/IVF journey, and he was such a grounding and supportive part of the process. He was always flexible with scheduling (which is priceless when you’re juggling appointments and treatments), and he took time to really listen and tailor each…

I was referred to Erik a few years ago to address some severe back pain that would just not go away as my only other option was to live on pain pills. Within 2 sessions I was feeling so much better and after a few months I was back to normal and pain free!

★★★★★ — Laura, Feb 2021

I’ve been going to Dr. Erik for 4+ years and he’s help relieve all of my past injuries that I have just gotten used to. Wrist pain from powerlifting, lower back, knee dislocation, and stiff necks.

★★★★★ — Emmy, Feb 2023

I recently called Erik out of desperation. My husband gets canker sores in his mouth, and for whatever reason, they tend to get really bad in the fall. A few years back they had gotten so bad that they went down his throat and he couldn't eat or drink, so we ended up in the ER to get him fluids.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
