I cannot begin to describe this AMAZING place and team of women. Christina, Gretchen and the entire team make you feel so welcome the minute you walk in. With incredible knowledge, Christina helped my frozen shoulder begin to heal with only 4 appointments (cupping, dry needling, etc).
When you walk in you're greeted with a smile and relaxing ambience. Everything is squeaky clean and you feel at home! I went in for a strained hamstring and not only got great medical advice, but also had effective treatment.
The Recovery Room is the best thing to happen to western mass in a long time! I am so happy this business opened. I was a competitive runner in high school and college, and am training harder than ever now. As I get older, effective recovery is so much more important. I drive an hour every few weeks to get work done.
Very impressive facility and pleasant staff. But more importantly, incredibly quick and accurate diagnosis, and pain-relieving treatment. Within a handful of visits, I was seeing and feeling tremendous progress. Highly recommended!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
