I live in Naples, Florida. Used to live, for 20 years, in Key West. I go to a Doctor of Acupuncture once each month for a "maintenance" session just like the Chinese people do. It works! While vacationing up in Western Mass. this summer, I searched for a Doctor of Acupuncture up there...and landed on this Clinic.
I was in extreme pain and I got an appointment right away! I called other places in the area and the wait for an appointment are too far out. Ryan got back to me right away. He is great! My first session and nerve pains gone. I feel much better and my neck is mobile again.
Excellent. Run by Ryan Heath Less, licensed accupuncturist and herbalist. Received care for cervical, lumbar and should dysfunctions. Effective. Clean, professional, knowledgeable, friendly.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
