Why The Qi Flows Acupuncture Clinic is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “r how I’m feeling and what we will need to work on in that session. I highly recommend giving Kim a call, acupuncture treatment really works. From the reviews
I've been seeing Kim for almost three months now for pain associated with an injury from a car collision. She has been great, and not only did the treatment include cupping and acupuncture, I felt that in general my wellbeing improved over the course of the time I've been seeing her.
I highly recommend Dr. Kim Wu for acupuncture and cupping. She is extremely knowledgable, kind, and effective. She has helped promote healing and relaxation in my body. She is thorough, detailed, and collaborative. Plus she is friendly and creates a great atmosphere to relax. Thanks, Kim!
Kim is a highly skilled, creative and compassionate Chinese medicine doctor and acupuncturist. She takes the time to get to know you and learn about your medical history and presenting issues and uses a variety of treatment modalities to help with both acute and chronic issues.
To whom it may concern. I went to see Kim for Acupuncture treatment on my shoulder after falling on it while on a hike in Yosemite. After a very thorough question and answer session Kim was able to identify and develop a plan for treatment which involved acupuncture w/ electro stimuli.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
