From the reviews

If I could give this business more stars I would! This is the BEST place I have ever gotten a massage at. Not only is every ounce of methodical detail that went into designing the calming aesthetic a masterpiece in itself, everyone from the front desk receptionist to the massage therapists to the owner herself is…

I went to The Now all the time in LA and thought I would cancel my membership when I moved to SF, but Monique at the Burlingame location has made me decide to keep it! She’s so good - uses firm pressure and really pays attention as she works.

I love this place! I feel so relaxed. My massage was amazing and the atmosphere is incredible. Such an amazing spa feel with soothing ambiance and cozy smells. Can’t wait to be back next month!

★★★★★ — Brandi, Nov 2025

My massage with Orlando was what I needed. Very intuitive in his flow. I’ll rebook with him and that is the strongest statement I can make.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
