From the reviews
I booked a same-day appointment at The Now in Boulder on a whim, mostly out of desperation after a brutal stretch of air travel had left my upper body locked up and miserable. I figured last-minute booking meant whoever was left over — not exactly a confidence booster. Tim completely proved me wrong.
I have been going to the NOW in Boulder for a couple of years and always have a good experience. The environment is always clean and relaxing. The tables are always comfortable and I think the heating pads are a great touch.
Leah did such amazing healing work on my back. I have degenerative disc’s in my neck and had injured myself working. She was able to intuitively see where I needed the most healing and showed a tremendous amount of care and support for my body to heal. Such an amazing human being.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
