I had a great experience here! You walk in and feel immediately relaxed by the aesthetic of the space. The owner greeted me and was really kind, helpful, and had wonderful customer service etiquette! I am pregnant and was in major need of a relaxing massage.
UPDATED REVIEW! It’s March and I first went to The Now back in July when they first opened. The entire staff was brand new and I got assigned my massage tech, Isaac. The customer service from the moment I first walked was kind and friendly.
My wife bought a package for us to use as a gift for an accomplishment and I was impressed by our multiple visits. Communication was very clear with the masseuse I had each time and the second time was excellent where there was a conversation about a sciatic nerve target before which we able to be alleiviated.
I had a signature NOW massage with the hot stone enhancement with Nicole and would highly recommend. Prior to treatment, we spoke about tight muscles from exercise and she customized my massage to my areas of concern. Nicole was highly intuitive and knowledgeable. My experience was relaxing as well as healing.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
