Heather is the best in Denver! I did a 90 minute mobile in home session with her and I felt so relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards. She did a combination of cupping (back and face), structural work with mayofascial release, trigger point therapy, manual lymphatic drainage and deep tissue work.
I started going for manual lymphatic drainage massage after my deep plane neck lift and submandibular gland removal around the 10 month mark post-op. My nerves around the experience almost immediately dissipated because of Heather’s gentle approach and positive energy.
Had my first wonderful massage session with Heather at her studio! It’s very unique to have a full body head to toe integrative massage. Heather consulted me with my feelings and needs before the session and she customized the massage according to that.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
